Cisco Identity-Based Networking Services (IBNS)
Cisco IBNS implements the IEEE 802.X protocol that requires AAA access control and enforcement of user policy to secure network resources as well as connectivity.
AAA is an acronym for Authentication, Authorization & Accounting, a security framework for access control to resources. Authentication is a way to prove identity of persons/devices/services. Authorization is a way to prove permissions of persons/devices/services. Accounting is a way to log all events done by any authenticated and/or authorized persons/devices/services.
